Post Office released commemorative stamps  to mark 500 years of Lapu-Lapu and Battle of Mactan   To commemorate the 500 years Anniversary of the victory of Lapu-Lapu in the Battle of Mactan, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) launched the commemorative postage stamp to honor the transcending spirit of heroism, gallantry, and bravery of the Filipinos.   Postmaster General Norman “Mr. Postman” Fulgencio  and Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea led the presentation and commemorative launching of  the “Battle of Mactan” Postage Stamps which was held at the at Liberty Shrine, Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.     The Battle of Mactan was a fierce clash fought on April 27, 1521.
