Art Exhibit at Philippine Heart Center 2018

Glimpses of Nature

Drawing on his vast experience in mountaineering, Marlon Tantoco embarks on his first solo exhibit putting into canvas his struggles in learning the craft, his love of nature and things organic and the joy he gets from communing with nature.

An abstractionist at heart, he uses thick and thin painting technique to convey the sensation of free flowing waters, the strength of earth and stone, the brilliance of blooming flowers and the freshness of leaves and lichen. Combining abstract strokes with true to life realism, the artist successfully attempts a fusion of styles to create a comprehensive whole. Spotlight piece, the Heart of Banahaw, presents a heart that is bleeding for the hurt the mountain receives from humanity in return for its generosity.

The show will open on Oct 22, 2018 at 4:00PM and will last until Nov 10, 2018. Venue is at the Medical Arts Building (MAB) lobby of the Philippine Heart Center, East Avenue, Quezon City.
